The theme of this year’s Greenhouse program is Sustainable nutrition. How can we challenge the way we produce and eat food to resolve two of the world’s most urgent problems: climate change and increasing health issues?

The Greenhouse is Lantmännen’s accelerator focused on innovations within food and agriculture – from field to fork. We support up-and-coming entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs and help them turn their ideas into profitable and sustainable long-term businesses. The program consist of six digital workshops and project team work in May-June. All the Greenhouse workshops in 2021 will be digital, so you will be able join from anywhere in the world. The program culminates in Dragons’ Den with Lantmännen top management in September.

The program has been organized since 2014 with the total of 79 projects, and this year’s program being already the 11th. Participating in the program is free of charge. As an entrepreneur, you will keep all intellectual property rights to your ideas when you join The Greenhouse. In the program we are using Microsoft Teams as the collaboration platform, complemented with other digital tools. Recommended project team is 2-4 persons.

Right now we are working on a start-up – Lagoom App, a collaboration between Tavarapilvi Oy and gaIoTa Oy. We are a multidisciplinary team of people from different cultural backgrounds and professional expertise but we all share a commitment to sustainability. Our core team consists of Aalto University’s students who are passionate about innovation.

As a part of sustainable fashion solution we empower consumers to be more responsible and contribute more to a sustainable lifestyle, we created Lagoom App.

Kick scooter sharing pilot concludes on a high note in Otaniemi by Samocat Sharing

Samocat Sharing Oy, with the introduction of Kick-scooter sharing system, the ”most compact public transport” want to add another option for users in their transportation choices by solving the last mile problem. The research focused on understanding stakeholders’ collaboration, required business model and user behavior & experience over a three-month pilot in Otaniemi, Espoo Innovation Garden in Finland.

The Pilot kicked off in the beginning of September 2017 and ended in November 2017. The results of the pilot are now published in a report found here: http://www.samocat.net/fi_report2017

Samocat sharing Oy, an international start-up with Russian roots are developing the kick-scooter sharing system as an ideal last mile public transport for urban areas. Samocat sharing consists of a dynamic team of individuals experts in varied fields operating from Moscow, Russia and Espoo, Finland.

City of Espoo, ACRE (Aalto University Campus and Real Estate, TEKES (Tekes, 2017) and Aalto University student union (AYY) are partners with Samocat. Urban mill is the workspace provider with logistics and networking support. Helsinki business hub (HBH) is the consultants who worked from the beginning throughout the pilot.

Focus group for the pilot have been Aalto University students, staff and Corporate employees around Otaniemi area. Six locations around Aalto University campus was set up for the pilot.

Urban Millissä toimiva startup-yritys Samocat Sharing pilotoi kolmen kuukauden aikana uudenlaista potkulautojen lainauspalvelua Otaniemessä. Kokeilu päättyy marras-joulukuun taitteessa.

Kampukselle on asennettu kuusi potkulauta-asemaa, joista laudan voi ottaa käyttöönsä. Asemien sijainnin sekä potkulautojen saatavuuden ja palautustilan voi tarkistaa älypuhelimella Applen ja Googlen verkkokaupoista ladattavan ilmisen sovelluksen avulla. Potkulautoja on yli kolmekymmentä ja alle puolen tunnin testikäyttö on maksutonta.

Otaniemi on Samocat Sharingin toinen Euroopassa toteuttama koekäyttöalue. Palvelua testataan myös Moskovassa.
