The theme of this year’s Greenhouse program is Sustainable nutrition. How can we challenge the way we produce and eat food to resolve two of the world’s most urgent problems: climate change and increasing health issues?

The Greenhouse is Lantmännen’s accelerator focused on innovations within food and agriculture – from field to fork. We support up-and-coming entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs and help them turn their ideas into profitable and sustainable long-term businesses. The program consist of six digital workshops and project team work in May-June. All the Greenhouse workshops in 2021 will be digital, so you will be able join from anywhere in the world. The program culminates in Dragons’ Den with Lantmännen top management in September.

The program has been organized since 2014 with the total of 79 projects, and this year’s program being already the 11th. Participating in the program is free of charge. Urban Millin toiminta jatkuu nykyisissä tiloissa ainakin maaliskuun loppuun

Urban Mill will continue to operate in its current premises on Betonimiehenkuja in Otaniemi until at least the end of March. During this time, we will create a new space concept for creatives and sustainability actors and their respective networks: low-threshold hybrid studio spaces and a platform for the construction and demonstration of physical prototypes, artifacts and other handicrafts. Our co-working and event spaces are still available for rent.

From the beginning of the year, we moved on to pilot our new service model, with which we pass on the information and know-how produced by the Otaniemi-Keilaniemi innovation ecosystem outside the region. We facilitated the emergence of joint development projects of the region’s experts and actors in need of the region’s expertise, both physically and digitally.

We support our clients in organizing virtual events, produce open content together with our partners, organize hybrid visits to the area and facilitate the establishment and co-work of new virtual teams arising from our operations.

Our goal is to provide a comprehensive overview of the region’s diverse opportunities, to improve the global affordance of research, development and experimentation of the region, and thus to promote the emergence of new companies and communities that support sustainable development and utilize creative know-how.

We hope that our new concept will also serve you and your organization. Contact us and let us know if you already have any needs in mind?
